Raised in the world of high fashion, educated in the field of design and inspired by her love of world travel, Ellen Hoffman has launched her namesake brand and answered a calling years in the making.

Ellen’s early immersion in the luxurious world of fashion began in her family-owned Balliet’s, a women’s couture specialty shop. This led her to New Orleans, Louisiana, where she fed her creativity by studying art history at Tulane University. There she received The Henry Stern Prize in Art History which is awarded to the student who produces the best paper in the field of art history.

Ellen’s love of artisanal culture led her to travel the world extensively, feeding her passion for unique materials, fine metals and stones and honing her appreciation of distinctive craftsmanship. Because Ellen allows herself to become inspired by the unique characteristics of the materials she thoughtfully selects, each Ellen Hoffman Designs piece is entirely original. The exceptional craftsmanship and creative artistry are evident in every handcrafted design.

Ellen is the doyenne of Ellen Hoffman Designs and ensures that each piece reflects her aesthetic and intentionally has a soul.
